Well I thought I would start a blog for my family, it seems like everyone is doing it so I thought I would actually get with the times
This Saturday we will be participating in the National MS walk, we have done so for the past 3 or 4 years. Dawns sister Brandy and a couple of my friends have MS so it is a personal thing for us to raise funds and awareness for this disease.
Every year our family has the distinct honor of coming in last, it is not something we have planned, but with 5 kids it makes us one of the slower entrants into the walk. At first it was kind of funny, but now actually the kids take it as a badge of honor. Just like their dad they are into tradition, and just last night Savannah reminded me that we always come in last and she laughed, so I guess I better make sure we pace ourselves to bring up the rear again.
Colin is just getting over "Slap Cheek", it is a viral rash that honestly looks like someone slapped him in the cheek. It was all over his body and looked pretty bad, but the doctor assured us that it is nothing and will just go away, he is starting to look better today. When the Dr. told us about it I remembered that Weston had the same thing when he was little, but his was just on one cheek.
The older 4 (Madi, Weston, Logan, Savannah) just got back from a trip to Hurricane with their mom and uncle Matt where they rode 4 wheelers. Weston had a little scare when he rolled his, but he was wearing a helmet and only had a couple of scrapes and cuts. He was very lucky he was not hurt worse. Both Logan and Savannah drove one of the ATV's by themselves (although they did have an adult on back with them helping) so they were very proud of themselves.
Both Weston and Logan recieved call backs for their auditions for "Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat) but they were out of town and could not participate. But we are all very proud of them for doing so well and I am sure they will have many more to come!
Madi is coming up on her big 14th birthday this Sunday, and suddenly I feel old! She is pretty excited to bring her friend Hunter along for the MS walk.
Dawn is doing well, still recovering from her foot surgery, but getting better day by day. The MS walk will be a big test for her, but we will be brining along a weelchair for her just in case. She is getting ready to leave us all for her big trip to Cancun in a couple of weeks. Luckily one of us gets to vacation otherwise we would be an extremely boring couple.
Me, I am still the same old boring me. Work, home, sleep, and work again. Honestly that is all I do! Cant think of anything to write about me!
